Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones who are dealing with the challenging impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope this message finds you, your family members and friends safe. PNWHC wants to acknowledge that the disruption and uncertainty associated with this current situation is unsettling for everyone. Like you, we have been following the COVID-19 updates many times daily and it is important for you to know that your health and safety are our priority.
The PNWHC Board of Directors has decided to cancel the April 10-12 AKC Herding Trial. The risks simply outweigh the benefits. While we had previously thought we could mitigate risk factors due to the small number of people in attendance, and because we are outdoors with plenty of room to maintain safe “social distancing”, we have come to realize there are many other factors related to travel, food and lodging that are beyond our control.
The "charm" of this trial would not be the same. In order to maintaining safe social distances, we would not be able to have meals together and would have to cancel our Judges’ dinner, Easter dinner, Bonfire/Peep Roast, Easter “Egg” hunt, raffle, and on-site Chiropratice services. (Note: Dr. Dave ech.chiro@hotmail.com has informed me that he is still doing house calls if you or you canine are in need).
We believe this is the right thing to do, not only for each other, but for society as well. It is a time when taking responsibility for each other, needs to become paramount.
And now for the part you have been waiting for: ALL ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED, minus PayPal fees, if you chose to enter using PayPal. Please contact the Trial Secretary for details.
We are currently working to reschedule our judges for the fall trial. Stay tuned for more information.
