Aussie Shirt Summer Fundraiser

This Aussie shirt fundraiser will support the September 30 - October 1, 2017 PNWHC Trials at packLeader Farm.

PNWHC hosts two AKC herding trials every year.  We strive to bring a variety of judges from around the country to judge our trials. Back by popular demand, Laura DeLaCruz from Chaparral New Mexico, will be judging our fall trials. 

This Zentangle-inspired Australian Shepherd shirt is a fundraiser to help offset the costs associated with the Fall 2017 PNWHC herding trials.   This design is available in short, long sleeve and v-neck tees, tanks, youth and crew-neck and hooded sweatshirt and comes in a rainbow of colors.  Bonfire has greatly expanded their offerings, so take a look and don't let yours get away.

As of midnight EST on July 11, 2017, our Pacific NW Herding Club Summer Fundraiser sold 96 products and made a significant contribution to the September 30-October 1 herding trial!  The campaign is now closed and the Aussie shirts are no longer available.  If you ordered and Aussie shirt it should arrive around July 26.

Thanks to everyone that supported this fundraiser either by buying shirts or helping to promote it.

Stay tuned for the next fundraiser. Rumor has there is a Border Collie in the works.

PNWHC 2017-2018 NOMINATIONS

The Nominating Committee (Barbara Davenport, Ashley Wright and Gabrielle LaRoche) has met and proposes the following slate for the 2017-2018 year.   The Nominating Committee proposes a continuation of the current administration: Carol Wolfram - President, Claudia Dickerson - Vice President, Gabrielle LaRoche - Secretary, Wendy Waggoner - Treasurer, Lisa Klein - Member, and Nancy Macklin - Member   

Relevant sections of the PNWHC bylaws for the annual meeting and elections below.   ARTICLE IV -- THE CLUB YEAR, ANNUAL MEETING, ELECTIONS   Section 1. Club Year The club’s fiscal year shall begin on the first day of July and end on the last day of June. The club’s official year shall begin immediately at the conclusion of the election at the annual meeting and shall continue through the election at the next annual meeting.   Section 2. Annual Meeting The annual meeting shall be held in the month of June, at which time officers and directors for the ensuing year shall be elected by secret ballot from among those nominated in accordance with Section 4 of this Article. They shall take office on July 1st. Each retiring officer shall turn over to the successor in office all properties and records relating to that office prior to July 1st.   Section 3. Elections The nominated candidate receiving the greatest number of votes for each office shall be declared elected. The nominated candidates for other positions on the Board who receive the greatest number of votes for such positions shall be declared elected.   Section 4. Nominations No person may be a candidate in a club election who has not been nominated. Additional nominations may be made at the June meeting by any member in attendance, provided that the person so nominated does not decline when their name is proposed.

Carol Wolfram has created a Zentangle-inspired Corgi design for the Judy Garbarino benefit. Judy Garbarino has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, has had surgery and is facing a long recovery period. Judy has been a supporter/competitor for herding events and programs, and Pembroke Corgi dogs as long as most of us can remember.
